Yes I am talking about our very own Viru...
This Nawab of Najafgarh made history when he became the first Indian to score a Triple Ton again Pakistan in Multan. 'Sultan of Multan' is what he was called post that feat. The beauty of the sultan is that he does not have a text book foot work but has some terrific hand eye coordination which makes the gurus of cricket wonder about his success. He understands only one language, which is ‘Attack’. When ever he is nearing any mile stone, he would go for the biggie that would fetch him the maximum and send the cherry right out of the park. He is the owner of a very surprising record. In the last 10 occasions whenever he crossed the 100 run mark, he has crossed 150 runs which forces every one to agree that he is a big century getter who is not satisfied with just hundred. His style of attack can dent the psyche of any opposition, better to acknowledge are the Aussies.
On 28th March 2008, yet again he entered the record books by scoring a Triple Ton and storming himself in the elite club. The club of members who have made more than one triple ton. The elegant left hander Brian Lara and Sir Donald Bradman are the member of that club.
The way Viru is playing at the moment seems he is here for sure to achieve many such records as his timber speaks volumes. Scoring in less than run a ball is his biggest feature.
It is very difficult for any one to over look his efforts and drop him from any test matches. He was not included in the Home series against Pakistan, which made him work even more hard and now his determination is very well reflected on the scoreboard.
Way ahead to go Viru……..
